And by that I do not mean in their brains, though that may be the case, too. The experiment used a GPS receiver to correct the timing of the neutrinos flight around the CERN particle accelerator. The GPS receiver was connected to the OPERA computer to measure the speed of the neutrinos. Well, it turns out that the fiber optic cable was a tad loose. They tightened it and, voila, the neutrinos obeyed the laws of physics and stayed on the right side of the speed of light.
