One of my biggest gripes about the global warmingistas is that they have never attempted an vetted, provable, reproducible and justifiable study of temperature change over a long period of time. Professor Jan Esper undertook a painstaking review of tree ring data from fossilized trees in the Finish Laplands dating back to 138 BC. Sure enough, he found measurable climate change over time. Yup, that right. The earth has been steadily cooling since the Roman and Medieval times.

Good find and posted.
Don't worry, the AGW people will find (invent) a variable to control, I mean "clarify" the data so it will warming...
The graph you show contains data from only one place. Hardly a representative sample of the entire Earth.
Two things:
A) There are a large number of global studies of long term climate change that show recent warming is unprecedented.
B) The recent PAGES study is the largest, most comprehensive ever done. It shows no global MWP or LIA. What they did find was a long term cooling trend until we began emitting CO2 from fossil fuel
